We specialize in intimate weddings, from 2 to 14 people. The
outdoor-setting here is incredibly beautiful. Our grounds go right to the
lakes's edge. Our pier takes you out over the water. Our lakefront dining room,
with a large river rock fireplace, pine walls and log furnishings offers a warm
mountian lodge atmosphere.
Photography:
If you would like professional wedding photos, we recommend making arrangements
with one of the professional photographers on our recommended vendors list. Of
course you may arrange for your own photographer as well. If you do not wish to
hire a professional photographer, one of our staff will be happy to take snap
shots of your wedding with your camera for a fee of $25, however, please
understand that we are not professional photographers and can not guarantee the
results.
Marriage License:
We will issue a Placer County marriage license right here at the Shore House. It
requires a current and valid photo identification. There is no waiting period or
blood tests necessary
Ceremony:
We perform a beautiful non-denominational ceremony that concentrates on the vows
and promises that the Bride and Groom are making to each other. Minor changes to
our ceremony may be made at no extra charge. You can also be creative and design
your own vows. Substantial changes to the ceremony may be made for an additional
fee of $50.00. Any changes must be provided to us at least 7 days before the
ceremony.
Time of day:
Wedding ceremonies can be performed between 12 noon and 3 pm on any day. Late
afternoon and evening weddings can be arranged on certain days for small groups.
Please discuss your time preference with us.
Payment:
We require a 50% advance payment, and the balance upon arrival. Cancellations
made 14 days or more before the wedding date will receive a refund of your
advance payment minus a $25.00 cancellation fee. Cancellations made closer than
14 days will forfeit the advanced payment.
Private Web-Site Photo Display:
You can include your family and friends who are not attending your wedding by
giving them the web address of your personalized web-page, created specifically
for you, displaying photos of your wedding. We will take digital snap shots and
post them on this unique web-page, within two hours of your wedding time, for
your family and friends to view. They may also E-mail their greeting to you at
the Shore House from this private web-page.
Lake Tahoe Wedding Cruise:
In the warmer months, you may choose to have your wedding on our 36 ft. Cabin
Cruiser, “Lady of the Lake”, cruising the clear waters of Lake Tahoe.
Maximum 6 people. 11am cast off, 1.5 hours for ceremony and
cruise............................................................$250.00 (in
addition to all other fees)
Please, no self catering.
We rent a maximum of 4 rooms (June - Sept.) to any one group. We can
suggest other lodging properties in our area for your guests if you need
more than 4 rooms. We can accommodate larger groups mid-week October - May.
We may not have parking for your guests on our property, but there is
public parking near by.
If you are not familiar with the services that are available at Lake
Tahoe, we can make recommendations for the following: Photographer,
Limousine, Restaurants, Activities and many others.
